Innovync was proud to again sponsor the annual Bondi2Berry and Bondi2Brighton cycles, which last month raised over $210,000 for Dementia Australia.

The fourth staging of the one-day event attracted 120 riders, 28 of whom continued for another week onto the beachside Melbourne suburb of Brighton, where the record-breaking cheque was presented.

Innovync’s Founder Pierre Sullivan was among those who completed the entire 1200km journey, which followed the scenic Princes Highway route between Australia’s two biggest cities.

A passionate cyclist and motivated by his mother’s battle with dementia, Pierre has also been instrumental in founding this epic fundraiser.

This year’s event began at North Bondi Beach on 7 September and included overnight stops at Berry, Bateman’s Bay, Bega, Gipsy Point, Orbost, Sale and Warragul.

The riders arrived in Brighton under a brilliant blue sky on September 14, jubilant after learning they had eclipsed their fundraising target of $200,000.

Congratulations to Pierre and all involved for setting a PB in the fight against this terrible condition, which now affects about 440,000 Australians.
